Art & Jerry uncover the story of shantyboaters, underdogs who made a life on the river for over a hundred years, as part of Louisville’s vanished floating community. They follow artist Harland Hubbard’s decision to step away from a world that has become so dependent on technology, and are putting his principles of self-sufficiency to the test, in the spirit of Hubbard’s epic 1940’s shantyboat trip, to recapture a lost lifestyle on the river.
